The race is operated under UKA Rules.
Runners not conforming to the rules will be disqualified, and their time will not appear in the results.
If you are unable to run. The following actions are available via the entry portal: Transfers to someone else, change race to any of our races that are open for entries (paying the difference), withdrawals and refunds subject to the refund policy. No deferrals.
Refund Policy: Up to 3months before 90%, up to 2weeks before 50%, less than 2weeks before 0%.
The official finish Time Limit is 2hours 30minutes (15min/mile pace). This is not a walking event. The cut off will be enforced at the race director’s discretion.

The Race HQ is The Ryde Castle, mid way along Ryde Esplanade opposite Ryde Harbour & Eastern Gardens.
Pedestrian access only to The Ryde Castle, please follow the signs to the rear entrance for registration. (See the ‘Travel’ section for parking)

The Ryde Castle is 10 minutes walk along Ryde esplanade from the pier where the foot passenger ferries from Portsmouth land.
Secure bag storage available.
There will be porta-loos in the The Ryde Castle carpark, runners are asked to use these in addition to the toilets within the race HQ, and the public toilets nearby.
Note: No changing and shower facilities are available at The Ryde Castle. The Waterside Pool, at the eastern end of the canoe lake, does offer shower facilities for a charge.

Safety Note:
For safety reasons, the use of in-ear (or over ear) headphones is NOT permitted. In accordance with England athletics guidelines, bone conducting headphones are allowed.
For safety reasons, runners are NOT permitted to run with dogs.

Travel:
From the mainland, Ryde is served by both the Portsmouth/Ryde Wightlink Catamaran, and the Southsea/Ryde Hovertravel Hovercraft, both run an hourly service. Please check timetables before travelling: Wightlink website. Hover Travel website.
Wightlink offer 50% concessionary rate travel on their ferries over the race weekend, details will be provided on entry.
The 09:15 Fast Cat or 09:30 Hover craft is advised, to avoid last minute queues at registration, bag drop and toilets.

Recommended parking is the Pay & Display at Quay Road Car Park (PO33 2HB, ///radio.tooth.smiled ), which is next to the start area.
Alternative Pay & Display parking is available along the north and south side of the canoe lake, and in Appley car park (accessed via the canoe lake).
Awards:
Women Overall (1st, 2nd, 3rd), U20 and 5 year vet categories (1st, 2nd). Teams of 3 (1st, 2nd, 3rd).
Men Overall (1st, 2nd, 3rd), U20 and 5 year vet categories (1st, 2nd). Teams of 3 (1st, 2nd, 3rd).
Note: Overall winners can also win vet category prizes.
Medals will be awarded to all finishers.
Presentation will take place at the race HQ at approximately 13:00 to 13:30. Prizes not collected at the presentation will be posted within 7 days of the race.
Requests to amend results will be considered up to 3 days after the race. Requests to change an entry type from Unaffiliated to Affiliated, must be made before the day of the race.

The Course:
The START is located on the sea wall by Ryde Harbour, opposite the race HQ. ///lower.point.influencing
The FINISH is located by Ryde Harbour Slipway, opposite the race HQ. ///loved.camera.doll
The course is a single lap, undulating & scenic, covering Ryde, Puckpool, Seaview, St. Helens, Netttlestone, Seaview and back to Ryde.
Marker boards at each mile point.
Water stations are located at approximately 3 Mile intervals, at the following distances (3m & 6.5m)
No littering outside the water stations.
